Michael Torbiak has been discovering new talent and working with some of the TOP NAMES in film and TV at MTV, BRAVO and E! for nearly a decade, for two years now casting the comedy segments on ABC's JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!
About 40% of the talent they hire on their show are VO talent, and they're always in need of new talent. This includes actors who can do impersonations, imitations, promo/commercials, movie trailers, political Ads, etc.
Even though is workshop will be focused on Voice Over, as Michael is the CD for Jimmy Kimmel Live (which works daily) you are getting two for one! A CD that has needs regularly for Voice Over roles AND nightly comedy Roles!
He currently cast the comedy segments at Jimmy Kimmel Live! where they cast everything from from principal performers to Voice-over talent on a daily basis for the scripted comedy pieces that run nightly in their show. A lot of these segments include working with celebrity talent.
The workshop will start with an introduction of how their show works followed by a Q & A session. Michael will bring sides and will read with each actor.
This show casts principal and Under 5 (AFTRA) actors on a daily basis for on camera work and voiceovers plus dancers and musicians, often bringing in talent on a moment’s notice for that night’s show. Torbiak works closely with KIMMEL’s writers and directors to cast bits for the show’s monologue and pre-taped segments involving CELEBRITY talent on a regular basis. This is your opportunity to get on Michael Torbiak’s short list of available talent for the many JIMMY KIMMEL comedy bits they cast, and learn what it takes to do the work on late night television.
