Acting Class with Karissa Vacker

On-Camera Acting Workshop with Karissa Vacker, Wednesdays from 7-10pm

Wednesday's session is at Actorswest location. 5818 Lankershim Blvd in North Hollywood, 91601.
Karissa is a working television and film actress, a classically trained theatre actress, and an
audiobook narrator. She has guest-starred on top television shows such as:
How I Met Your Mother, Castle, Chuck, 90210, Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless.
She has also appeared in the films: Someone Marry Barry and A Star for Christmas, among others.
Additionally, she has performed lead roles in theaters across the country,
notably, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Geva Theater Center (NY),
PCPA Theatrefest (CA), and Kitchen Dog Theatre (TX).


She brings her extensive knowledge of on-camera acting and theatre to her teaching. In
Karissa’s class you will learn:
- effective and reliable ways to approach scripts and sides for auditions
- technical tips and tools for using the camera to your advantage
- how to release fear-based habits and have more FUN in your work
- how to find and/or rediscover your confidence as an actor
- how to look like a pro at auditions, workshops, with your reps, and on set!

Material is supplied, or you are welcome to work on your own material or bring in sides for an upcoming audition. Class sizes are kept small (5-15 people) so everyone works every week and gets lots of personal attention. The more freedom and fun you have the more likely it is you
will give the best audition or performance you are capable of in that moment, and surprise(!): The more likely you will book the job.

Cost: Classes are on-going and affordable. The price is $300 for your first 9 consecutive weeks,
then $200 per every following 9 consecutive week session. After you have taken one complete
session, you may drop-in for $30/class to keep sharp or to work an audition.
